hudson shelton
Hudson Rogers (he/him) is a writer and director born in Dallas, Texas, whose global upbringing in Beijing, Shanghai, and Dallas has shaped his distinct cinematic voice. He is pursuing a B.A. in Film & Media Studies from Dartmouth College and speaks English, French, Chinese, and Russian. Rogers' work explores marginalized voices, with a focus on queer relationships, and his first film, Fading Shadows, was made under the mentorship of Yared Zaleke (Lamb) and Shevaun Mizrahi (Distant Constellation). He has contributed to a documentary on the International Institute of New England (IINE) and gained experience with leading production companies like AGBO Films, and Jaywalker Pictures. His photography has been featured in a show with Adrian Torres, winning awards such as the Texas Congressional Art Competition. Rogers' writing has also garnered awards for best TV Pilot at the Sunny Side Up Film Festival and the London International Film Awards. He is now making his professional directorial debut with Evaders, a dystopian short film about two nonbinary teenagers in a society that mandates gender specification at 18.
